A man has been charged after allegedly stealing cowboy hats worth almost $10,000.
\nAbout 5.30am on Tuesday 27 October 2020, the man allegedly broke into a business in Kelly Street, Scone. The man was observed loading various brands of \u2018country and cowboy\u2019 hats into a wheelie bin, before leaving the scene.
\nThe hats, made of straw and felt, sell for an estimated $250-$300 each.
\nAt 1pm this afternoon (17 November 2020) a 32-year-old man was arrested by officers attached to the Hunter Valley Police District. He was taken to Tamworth police station, where he was charged with break\/enter dwelling and goods in personal custody suspected being stolen.
