Australian Greens climate and energy spokesperson, Adam Bandt MP, says the Morrison government must heed Sir David Attenborough\u2019s warning that climate change is a threat to human civilisation.
\nMr Bandt also called on the government to avoid being a wrecker at the climate conference.
\nAttenborough\u2019s warning came in the opening sessions of the UN global climate summit in Katowice, Poland. The representatives of the world\u2019s countries are seeking agreement on the \u2018rulebook\u2019 that will implement the Paris Agreement to keep global warming to 1.5 degrees.
\n\u201cScott Morrison must heed Sir David Attenborough\u2019s warning,\u201d Mr Bandt said today.
\n\u201cHuman civilisation is at risk. We must take emergency action on climate change, starting with keeping coal in the ground.\u201d
