Newcastle Art Gallery\u00a0is set to reintroduce\u00a0face-to-face\u00a0educational programs and\u00a0regular\u00a0opening hours\u00a0of\u00a010am \u2013 5pm\u00a0Tuesday\u00a0to\u00a0Sunday\u00a0as\u00a0COVID-19 restrictions ease.
\nThe\u00a0Gallery\u00a0will maintain its contact tracing systems, additional cleaning\u00a0and will\u00a0limit\u00a0visitor\u00a0numbers to adhere to\u00a0physical distancing requirements\u00a0and\u00a0ensure a safe environment is maintained for all patrons.
\nPublic programs, including Art Cart,\u00a0will recommence from November 14 with a maximum capacity of 10 participants and their parent\/guardian\u00a0per session.\u00a0Guided tours\u00a0will\u00a0also\u00a0recommence\u00a0with a\u00a0limited\u00a0capacity per group, facilitated by volunteer\u00a0guides.\u00a0See the\u00a0website\u00a0 for\u00a0session times\u00a0and booking information.
\nArt Cart engages children with the exhibitions on display through discussion and art making. Led by Gallery educators, every weekend Art Cart engages with a different work of art on display, and the event is staged in the Gallery space as close as possible to the original work. Bookings are required as Art Cart will be initially returning every Saturday for two sessions and places will be limited.
