If you are unwell, or someone in your household is unwell, please stay home. If you cannot make it to a program please cancel your ticket, so someone else can join in the fun.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Digital-Library-1.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newcastle.nsw.gov.au\/getattachment\/Council\/News\/Latest-News\/Libraries-return-to-live-programs\/Digital-Library-1.jpg\" alt=\"Digital-Library-1.jpg\" \/>While not everyone will be able to join in \u2018live\u2019 at the library,\u00a0all\u00a0our programs will have an online streaming or recorded\u00a0equivalent.<br \/>\nTime restrictions at libraries have been removed to permit study and extended stays.<br \/>\nLive\u00a0face to face onsite programs\u00a0commence\u00a0at\u00a0library sites, pop-up spaces and outdoor library events across the City from 1 October.\u00a0Children\u2019s based activities such as the Paul Jennings Exhibition and Grow Story Stomp in Civic Park will be held next month.<br \/>\nVolunteers and library partners will return allowing support programs and local history and digitisation projects to continue.<br \/>\nConsidered measures have been taken to ensure the libraries meet Public Health Order requirements including the preparation of spaces with additional safeguards.<br \/>\nLibrary\u00a0members and\u00a0visitors are encouraged to practise good hygiene, maintain social distancing and stay home if you are feeling unwell.<br \/>\nFor more information about Newcastle Libraries services and programming, visit the Newcastle Libraries website\u00a0or call 4974 5300.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>City of Newcastle Libraries\u00a0live programming is back this Spring\u00a0after a period of restricted offerings due to COVID-19.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Our library programs\u00a0will be\u00a0COVIDSafe\u00a0and inclusive.
