A motorcyclist has died following a crash near Cessnock yesterday.
\nAbout 10.50am (Saturday 5 September 2020), emergency services were called to Great North Road, Wollombi, following reports a motorcyclist and KIA sedan collided.
\nThe rider, a 52 -year-old man, was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics, however he died at the scene.
\nThe driver, a 74-year-old man was taken to Cessnock Hospital for mandatory blood and alcohol testing.
\nOfficers from Hunter Valley Police District established a crime scene and have commenced inquiries into the cause of the crash.
