Police are appealing for witnesses to a serious crash in the Lake Macquarie area last week.
\nAbout 10.20am on Wednesday 25 March 2020, a gold Toyota Camry, being driven by a 60-year-old woman, was travelling south on the Pacific Highway at Jewells.
\nAt the same time, a silver Toyota Camry, being driven by a 73-year-old woman, was travelling west on Ntaba Road when the two cars collided at the intersection of Ntaba Road and the Pacific Highway.
\nThe drivers of both cars suffered serious injuries and were taken to John Hunter Hospital, where they remain in a critical condition.
\nA crime scene was established by Lake Macquarie Police District, with the circumstances of the crash being investigated by officers from the Hunter Crash Investigation Unit.
\nAs inquiries continue, police are requesting anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or who has dashcam footage, to contact police.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
