A woman has died after being hit by a vehicle in the Hunter Region last night.
\nJust before 11pm, a 47-year-old woman was walking across Main Road in Heddon Greta, near Kurri Kurri, when she was hit by a car travelling south.
\nOfficers from Hunter Valley Police District attended and found the woman with serious head injuries.
\nShe was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics on scene, but later died.
\nThe female driver, aged 27, stopped to render assistance. She was conveyed to Maitland Hospital for mandatory blood and urine testing.
