{"id":4977,"date":"2020-01-30T16:28:59","date_gmt":"2020-01-30T16:28:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.16news.com.au\/?p=4977"},"modified":"2020-01-30T16:28:59","modified_gmt":"2020-01-30T16:28:59","slug":"24-new-and-upgraded-schools-open","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.16news.com.au\/index.php\/2020\/01\/30\/24-new-and-upgraded-schools-open\/","title":{"rendered":"24 NEW AND UPGRADED SCHOOLS OPEN"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Term 1 2020 will see the largest investment made in public school infrastructure across NSW, with 7 new and 17 upgraded schools opening their doors in Term 1.<br \/>\nPremier Gladys Berejiklian and Minister for Education and Early Childhood Learning Sarah Mitchell visited students at Gledswood Hills Public School,\u00a0Preston Public School, Epping Public School and Parramatta Public School.<br \/>\nMs Berejiklian said the new and upgraded schools will benefit more than 20,000 students across NSW.<br \/>\n\u201cIt is set to be another big year for public schools with 24 new and upgraded schools opening this term,\u201d Ms Berejiklian said.<br \/>\n\u201cThe state of the art schools include new classrooms, performance studios, sports facilities, outdoor learning areas, halls and libraries to ensure students are receiving the best education.\u201d<br \/>\nThe NSW Government is investing $6.7 billion over four years to deliver more than 190 new and upgraded schools to support communities across NSW.
