{"id":4522,"date":"2019-12-06T10:42:47","date_gmt":"2019-12-06T10:42:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.16news.com.au\/?p=4522"},"modified":"2019-12-06T10:42:47","modified_gmt":"2019-12-06T10:42:47","slug":"planning-for-the-aerotropolis-takes-off","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.16news.com.au\/index.php\/2019\/12\/06\/planning-for-the-aerotropolis-takes-off\/","title":{"rendered":"PLANNING FOR THE AEROTROPOLIS TAKES OFF"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Plans for NSW\u2019s newest city will be revealed today with the NSW Government calling on the community to help shape the future Western Sydney Aerotropolis.<br \/>\nThe Western Sydney Aerotropolis Plan, which\u00a0sets the vision for the region and provides a roadmap for the rezoning of individual precincts, will revolutionise NSW.<br \/>\nPlanning and Public Spaces Minister Rob Stokes said the chance to plan and build an international airport and its supporting city is a rare privilege.<br \/>\n\u201cThe Aerotropolis will be Sydney\u2019s newest economic hub and will be a 30-minute city, where people live close to jobs, schools, health services and high-quality open space,\u201d Mr Stokes said.<br \/>\n\u201cWith construction of the airport underway, we have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to create a brand new city, and we want the community to be part of the process.<br \/>\n\u201cWe\u2019re getting on with the job of planning for a new city to make sure that land around the airport will be ready to build on well before the first plane takes off.\u201d<br \/>\nJobs, Investment, Tourism and Western Sydney Minister Stuart Ayres said the Aerotropolis will be a thriving economic hub for the region, with thousands of\u00a0<a name=\"_GoBack\"><\/a>new jobs, homes, infrastructure and services.<br \/>\n\u201cThe Aerotropolis will be the beating heart of the Western Parkland City.
