{"id":4428,"date":"2019-11-29T06:02:02","date_gmt":"2019-11-29T06:02:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.16news.com.au\/?p=4428"},"modified":"2019-11-29T06:02:02","modified_gmt":"2019-11-29T06:02:02","slug":"regional-communities-receive-a-boost-from-clubgrants-program","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.16news.com.au\/index.php\/2019\/11\/29\/regional-communities-receive-a-boost-from-clubgrants-program\/","title":{"rendered":"REGIONAL COMMUNITIES RECEIVE A BOOST FROM CLUBGRANTS PROGRAM"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Community organisations across the state have been awarded a total of $4 million to fund\u00a0local projects under the NSW Government\u2019s Infrastructure Grants program.<br \/>\nProjects that build or\u00a0upgrade facilities across sport and recreation, arts and culture, disaster readiness and essential community infrastructure have received funding.<br \/>\nMinister for Customer Service Victor Dominello said the 32 projects receiving funding will help local organisations deliver tangible, long-term benefits to the communities they serve.<br \/>\n\u201cWe\u2019re proud to support these important community organisations that work tirelessly to\u00a0create resilient, healthy and connected communities,\u201d Mr Dominello said.<br \/>\n\u201cThe projects they\u2019re delivering will boost\u00a0participation in sport, recreation and arts, social inclusion and disaster resilience\u00a0\u2013 making a real difference in people\u2019s lives across NSW.\u201d<br \/>\nSince 2013, the NSW Government has funded over 350 community projects worth $82\u00a0million under the Infrastructure Grants program.<br \/>\nThis year the program expanded to fund projects that build community connections by supporting drought-affected communities and youth, mental health and domestic violence services.<br \/>\nThe grants are made possible by the Clubgrants Category 3 Fund which re-invests profits from registered clubs\u2019 gaming machines into community infrastructure projects\u00a0across\u00a0three key areas:<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Arts &amp; Culture<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Disaster Readiness &amp; Community Infrastructure<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Sport &amp; Recreation<br \/>\nApplications for the second round of funding for 2019\/20 have opened and close on 16 December.
