A man has been charged over commercial drug supply in the Newcastle area.
\nAbout 1am (Saturday 16 November 2019) officers attached to Newcastle City Target Action Group stopped a vehicle on Lambton Road, New Lambton, for the purpose of a random breath test.
\nAfter speaking with the 21-year-old male driver, police formed cause to search him and the vehicle.
\nDuring the search, officers allegedly located an amount of cash, 64 capsules of MDMA, and a further 25 pressed blue tablets.
\nThe man was arrested and taken to Waratah Police Station.
\nPolice subsequently searched the man\u2019s Lambton home, allegedly locating further amounts of MDMA, as well as a large amount of cash.
\nIn total, over 250 grams of MDMA were seized.
\nThe man was charged with supply prohibited drug \u2013 commercial quantity, supply prohibited drug between commercial and indictable quantity (x9), and deal with proceeds of crime (x3).
