Raptor Squad North investigators have charged a Lone Wolf Outlaw Motorcycle Gang (OMCG) member following an extensive investigation into a series of alleged violent offences across the Lake Macquarie region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Strike Force Vigo was established by State Crime Command’s Raptor Squad North in November 2024, to investigate the supply of prohibited drugs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the investigation, detectives allegedly linked a 33-year-old man to a number of violent incidents, including the alleged extortion of a 57-year-old man in December 2024 and an alleged home invasion and aggravated assault of a 30-year-old man at Cardiff in February 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
About 10pm on Tuesday 4 February 2025, emergency services were called to a unit on Macquarie Road, Cardiff, following reports three men had allegedly forced entry and assaulted a 30-year-old man.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The men allegedly left the scene a short time later. The injured man was treated at the scene before being taken to John Hunter Hospital suffering head injuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Three people have since been charged and remain before the courts. During further inquiries, detectives identified a fourth alleged offender as a 33-year-old man who had travelled overseas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Following extensive inquiries, about 8.10am today (Friday 23 October 2026) Raptor Squad North investigators \u2013 with assistance from the Australian Border Force (ABF) and Australian Federal Police (AFP) \u2013 arrested a 33-year-old man after he arrived at Sydney International Airport in Mascot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He was taken to Mascot Police Station and charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, robbery armed with offensive weapon cause wounding \/ grievous bodily harm, two counts of participate criminal group contribute criminal activity and demand property in company with menaces with intent to steal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The 33-year-old was refused bail to appear at Bail Division Court 7 today (Friday 23 October 2026).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
