{"id":41246,"date":"2026-10-22T16:11:32","date_gmt":"2026-10-22T05:11:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.16news.com.au\/?p=41246"},"modified":"2026-10-22T16:11:32","modified_gmt":"2026-10-22T05:11:32","slug":"update-on-php-response","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.16news.com.au\/index.php\/2026\/10\/22\/update-on-php-response\/","title":{"rendered":"Update on PHP response"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The NSW Government is aware of and responding to security concerns about the PHP scripting language.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cyber Security NSW is working with departments and agencies to ensure updates are applied to any affected websites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is a global incident and to date no NSW Government agencies have reported any information breaches to Cyber Security NSW.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are following advice issued by the Australian Cyber Security Centre and working with national cyber authorities to contain any risks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As a precaution, some NSW Government websites have been temporarily taken down while work to apply patches and updates is completed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I urge NSW businesses, councils, and organisations to follow Australian Cyber Security Centre guidance, including patching their own systems, if required.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The NSW Government is aware of and responding to security concerns about the PHP scripting language.&nbsp; Cyber Security NSW is working with departments and agencies to ensure updates are applied to any affected websites.
