{"id":41094,"date":"2026-10-08T22:00:25","date_gmt":"2026-10-08T11:00:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.16news.com.au\/?p=41094"},"modified":"2026-10-08T22:00:25","modified_gmt":"2026-10-08T11:00:25","slug":"construction-of-new-20-million-batemans-bay-community-health-complete","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.16news.com.au\/index.php\/2026\/10\/08\/construction-of-new-20-million-batemans-bay-community-health-complete\/","title":{"rendered":"Construction of new $20 million Batemans Bay Community Health complete"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Construction of the $20 million Batemans Bay Community Health facility is now complete, marking a major milestone in the delivery of modern healthcare for the Eurobodalla region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The purpose-built community health facility will provide a range of integrated health services in the one location for Batemans Bay and surrounding communities. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new Batemans Bay Community Health, delivered by the Minns Labor Government, will provide spaces for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Allied health services<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Child, youth and family services<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Women&#8217;s health and sexual health services<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Community nursing and wound management<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Palliative care<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Aboriginal health services<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mental health, alcohol and other drug services<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Specialist outpatient clinics<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pathology collection services<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Located close to the Medicare Urgent Care Clinic, the new community health facility will provide coordinated and convenient access to healthcare services in Batemans Bay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The facility has been designed to complement the new $330 million Eurobodalla Regional Hospital at Moruya. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A comprehensive operational commissioning period is under way to ensure a safe and smooth transition into the new centre. This includes testing building systems, installing furniture and equipment, staff orientation and training, and other activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Minns Labor Government is investing $11.9 billion to deliver more beds and expanded services across 32 new or upgraded health facilities in NSW as part of the 2026-27 budget.
