A woman has died following a single vehicle crash in the state\u2019s Hunter Valley yesterday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Just after 10am (Sunday 26 July 2026), emergency services were called to Quince Tree Lane, Congewai, about 18km south of Cessnock, following reports a quad bike had rolled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On arrival, officers attached to Hunter Valley Police District were told the rider \u2013 an 18-year-old man \u2013 was riding a quad bike before it had rolled \u2013 ejecting the passenger \u2013 an 18-year-old woman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The woman was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics at the scene; however, she could not be revived.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The man was taken to Cessnock Hospital for a mandatory testing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A crime scene was established and specialist officers from Crash Investigation Unit attended and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash and the woman\u2019s death.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
