{"id":39807,"date":"2026-07-07T16:55:39","date_gmt":"2026-07-07T06:55:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.16news.com.au\/?p=39807"},"modified":"2026-07-07T16:55:39","modified_gmt":"2026-07-07T06:55:39","slug":"civilian-employee-charged-northern-region","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.16news.com.au\/index.php\/2026\/07\/07\/civilian-employee-charged-northern-region\/","title":{"rendered":"Civilian employee charged \u2013 Northern Region"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A civilian employee has been charged following an investigation into alleged domestic violence offences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On Friday 3 July 2026, police were notified that a woman had allegedly accessed the emails of a woman known to her, without permission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Following inquiries, police executed a search warrant at a home in Buttaba later that day (Friday 3 July 2026), where a laptop was seized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A 44-year-old woman, who is a civilian employed by the NSW Police Force at a Northern Region command, was arrested and taken to Toronto Police Station, where she was charged with three offences,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Access\/modify restricted data held in computer<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Stalk\/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm (domestic), and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Knowingly contravene prohibition\/etc in AVO (Domestic).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She was refused bail to appear before Bail Division Court 2 on Saturday 4 July 2026, where she was granted strict conditional bail to appear before Newcastle Local Court on Tuesday 14 July 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The woman is suspended with pay.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A civilian employee has been charged following an investigation into alleged domestic violence offences.
