Emergency services remain at the scene of a fatal house fire near Maitland tonight.
\nShortly after 8.30pm (Tuesday 22 October 2019), emergency services were called to
\nPeppertree Circuit, Aberglasslyn, following reports a house was on fire.
\nFire fighters attended and extinguished the blaze, however; the home sustained extensive damage.
\nThe body of a man was located inside.
\nA woman and a 13-year-old teenage boy sustained minor injuries and were taken to John Hunter Base Hospital as a precaution.
\nOfficers from Port Stephens-Hunter Police District established a crime scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the blaze.
\nThe cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
