A truck driver has died after his vehicle crashed into a tree in the state\u2019s Hunter Valley earlier today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Just before 9.00am (Thursday 9 April 2026), emergency services were called to Mirannie Road, Mirannie, near Singleton, following reports of a crash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Officers attached to Hunter Valley Police District attended and found that a garbage truck had veered off the road and crashed into a tree, before rolling down a steep embankment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The male driver is yet to be formally identified; however, is believed to be aged in his 40s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police established a crime scene and an investigation into the cause of the crash has commenced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
