A man has died after a crash in the state\u2019s north overnight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
About 9:15pm today (Sunday 5 April 2026), emergency services were called to Cullingral Road, Merriwa (approximately 70km north west of Muswellbrook), following reports of a crash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On arrival, officers attached to Hunter Valley Police District located a single vehicle which had left the road, before crashing into an embankment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
NSW Ambulance paramedics attempted to treat a man \u2013 however; he died at the scene. He is yet to be formally identified.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Officers have commenced investigations into the circumstances of the crash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
