{"id":37983,"date":"2026-03-16T20:11:22","date_gmt":"2026-03-16T09:11:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.16news.com.au\/?p=37983"},"modified":"2026-03-16T20:11:22","modified_gmt":"2026-03-16T09:11:22","slug":"construction-complete-for-orange-health-service-palliative-care-expansion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.16news.com.au\/index.php\/2026\/03\/16\/construction-complete-for-orange-health-service-palliative-care-expansion\/","title":{"rendered":"Construction complete for Orange Health Service palliative care expansion"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Construction is now complete on the expansion of inpatient palliative care spaces at Orange Health Service, which will improve end-of-life care for the Orange community and surrounding areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Delivered as part of the Minns Labor Government\u2019s $93 million World Class End of Life Care program, the project includes three new dedicated palliative care bedrooms with support spaces enhancing comfort and privacy for patients and families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new palliative care rooms are located on Level 1 of Orange Hospital, above the oncology ward and existing palliative care facilities. Designed to create a peaceful, home\u2011like environment to support patients and families, the spaces feature access to natural light, fresh air, and communal indoor and outdoor areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of the design, each bedroom will feature an original painting by a local artist.
