{"id":37627,"date":"2026-02-26T17:30:28","date_gmt":"2026-02-26T06:30:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.16news.com.au\/?p=37627"},"modified":"2026-02-26T17:30:28","modified_gmt":"2026-02-26T06:30:28","slug":"nsw-startups-secure-1-million-in-funding-to-fast-track-new-products-and-services","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.16news.com.au\/index.php\/2026\/02\/26\/nsw-startups-secure-1-million-in-funding-to-fast-track-new-products-and-services\/","title":{"rendered":"NSW startups secure $1 million in funding to fast-track new products and services"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Minns Labor Government is providing 22 innovative NSW businesses with a share of over $1 million in funding to help bring new products and technologies to market under round one of the 2025\u201326 MVP Ventures Program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>NSW is home to world-class talent and a vibrant startup community, and the MVP Ventures Program is about giving our founders the support they need to turn great ideas into commercial success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The grants support startups at a critical stage of development, helping them move beyond early concepts and prototypes into real\u2011world testing, uptake and commercial growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Funded projects span priority sectors including housing, manufacturing, energy, health and digital technologies, with recipients developing solutions that range from accelerating housing delivery and clean energy innovation to advanced manufacturing and health technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Together, the successful recipients highlight the depth of NSW\u2019s innovation pipeline and the important role startups play in lifting productivity, strengthening supply chains and creating skilled jobs across the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Round one MVP grant recipients include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Babylon Nexus:<\/strong>\u00a0A digital platform for the construction industry, offering real-time payment visibility and project success insights through its calendar ledger and AI risk engine.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>BIMLOGIQ Pty Ltd:<\/strong>\u00a0BIMLOGIQ Copilot uses advanced AI-driven technology to reduce design and documentation time in the construction industry.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Puralink:<\/strong><em>\u00a0<\/em>Puralink is building an autonomous robotics platform for pipe inspection, mapping and repair.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>E&amp;J Enterprises<\/strong>: An all-female startup who will use the support to advance\u00a0<em>Bubbafly<\/em>, its patented formula\u2011dispensing baby bottle designed for on\u2011the\u2011go feeding.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Loquens:<\/strong>\u00a0A health focused tech startup which will progress the rollout of\u00a0<em>Healingua<\/em>, a clinician built digital tool that helps nurses and carers communicate with aged care residents who face language or other communication barriers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>One-Touch Business Technology Solutions<\/strong>: A fintech startup which will progress the development of its digital platform that helps medical and health practices better manage cyber risk, finance and compliance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Walking Tall Health:<\/strong>\u00a0A medical device startup which will progress the commercial launch of its onBeat2 wearable device, designed to help people living with Parkinson\u2019s disease improve walking and reduce falls.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Thermal Dawn:<\/strong>\u00a0A thermal energy startup which will further develop and test its residential thermal storage system, enabling homes to use daytime solar for heating and cooling &#8211; replacing lithium batteries at a fraction of the cost.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The MVP Ventures Program is designed to support commercially focused innovation, helping NSW businesses test, refine and scale new ideas with strong market potential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Minns Labor Government committed an additional $6 million to the MVP Ventures Program in the last budget, and the 2025\u201326 MVP Ventures Program will deliver up to $3 million in funding across three competitive rounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Applications for round two of the program are currently being assessed and we look forward to opening round three soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For more information on the MVP Ventures Program visit&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nsw.gov.au\/business-and-economy\/innovation\/grants-and-programs\/mvp-ventures-program\">https:\/\/www.nsw.gov.au\/business-and-economy\/innovation\/grants-and-programs\/mvp-ventures-program<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Minister for Innovation, Science and Technology Anoulack Chanthivong said:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe Minns Labor Government is investing in innovation because it delivers real economic returns: stronger productivity, resilient supply chains and high-value jobs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe MVP Ventures Program builds on this Government\u2019s commitment to back NSW innovators with great ideas, helping them take the next step towards commercial success and deliver practical solutions to some of the biggest challenges we face.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThese grant recipients represent the strength and diversity of innovation across NSW.
