A toddler has died after being hit by a car in the state\u2019s north yesterday evening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
About 5.40pm (Tuesday 9 December 2025), emergency services were called to a home on Lloyd George Grove, Tanilba Bay, following reports a child had been hit by a car.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Officers attached to Port Stephens-Hunter Police District arrived to find a one-year-old girl had been hit by a Toyota utility on the property.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The toddler was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to John Hunter Hospital in a critical condition where she later died.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The driver \u2013 a 25-year-old man \u2013 was uninjured and taken to hospital for mandatory testing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police have commenced an investigation into the cause of the crash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
