{"id":35225,"date":"2025-10-04T13:15:15","date_gmt":"2025-10-04T03:15:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.16news.com.au\/?p=35225"},"modified":"2025-10-04T13:15:15","modified_gmt":"2025-10-04T03:15:15","slug":"minns-must-act-to-stop-sexualised-lgbtiqa-drag-performers-targeting-kids-at-festival","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.16news.com.au\/index.php\/2025\/10\/04\/minns-must-act-to-stop-sexualised-lgbtiqa-drag-performers-targeting-kids-at-festival\/","title":{"rendered":"Minns must act to stop sexualised LGBTIQA+ drag performers targeting kids at festival"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Family First NSW Upper House candidate Lyle Shelton today called on Premier Chris Minns to intervene and ensure that children are protected from inappropriate LGBTIQA+ drag influencers targeting them at Sunday\u2019s&nbsp; Coastal Twist Festival<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is alarming that the festival\u2019s organisers have booked \u201cFrock Hudson\u201d and \u201cSexy Galexy\u201d to perform in \u201call ages\u201d programming \u2014 including drag storytime and a children\u2019s disco \u2014 where children will be present and targeted with sexualised messaging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr Shelton said Hudson\u2019s social media history of&nbsp; posting pictures of himself grabbing the penises of naked men demonstrates that he is an unfit role model for children.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<br>\u201cWhat parent would want an individual who thinks it\u2019s fine to fill his Facebook feed with such images reading to their children?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr Shelton also stressed that \u201cno performer whose stage name includes the word Sexy should be permitted to perform to children under any circumstances.\u201d According to Mr Shelton, such acts risk sexualising children and undermining their innocence.<br>&nbsp;<br>\u201cWhat is the Central Coast Council thinking?\u201d<br>In addition, Mr Shelton disclosed that he is currently being sued by two drag queens, who are&nbsp; demanding that he remove posts which documented Frock Hudson\u2019s social media history&nbsp;\u2014 specifically, images of Hudson holding the penises of naked men.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These legal threats from taxpayer-funded LGBTIQA+ political activists, Mr Shelton said, only underscore the importance of protecting free speech and exposing harmful influences on children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Mr Shelton is calling on Central Coast Council to withdraw its support for the Coastal Twist Festival immediately, until clear assurances can be given that children will not be sexualised. He is likewise urging major sponsors, such as ING, to reconsider their involvement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>He said: \u201cCouncil funds and corporate backing must never be complicit in exposing children to sexualised drag performances. If Premier Chris Minns is truly committed to protecting children, he must intervene and demand that this festival be cleaned up or shut down.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>If elected, Family First pledges to introduce legislation that makes it an offence to sexualise children in public performances or programming. \u201cChildren deserve a safe space to be kids\u2014not a stage for adult agendas.
