This move threatens to stall Ballarat\u2019s renewable progress and erode community trust.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Greens Senator for Victoria, Steph Hodgins-May:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBREAZE is an incredible volunteer-run organisation helping power Ballarat\u2019s clean energy future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe council has cut ties with this vital community group, and refuses to engage with them in good faith, all because of posts by a former board member that, like so many Australians, express horror at the genocide taking place in Gaza.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;This will jeopardise Ballarat\u2019s ability to respond to the climate crisis and drive the renewable energy transition.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIn a healthy democracy, we need space to speak openly and freely.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe community deserves transparency and fairness.
