Tomorrow, Chris Minns, and Daniel Mookhey will hand down their third state budget \u2014 while declaring the previous 10 years of progress in New South Wales a mistake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Last week their government dismissed a decade of delivery, change and transformational infrastructure as \u201cvanity\u201d and they\u2019re now asking households across NSW to believe that doing less, building slower and dreaming smaller is a vision for the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Leader of the Opposition Mark Speakman said the Minns Labor Government is not focused on your mortgage, your children\u2019s future or the services people rely on \u2014 they\u2019re focused on rewriting history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe former Coalition Government delivered a decade of leadership, with record investment in health, housing, education, and the infrastructure that makes our lives work,\u201d Mr Speakman said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThat decade changed NSW \u2014 this budget risks wasting it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Shadow Treasurer Damien Tudehope said what Labor calls \u201cvanity\u201d is what millions of families depend on every day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat this Labor Government calls \u2018vanity\u2019 is what delivered jobs, trains, schools, and hospitals for millions of families across NSW.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThey want to cancel the future and rewrite the past. But parents doing the school run, households trying to get ahead, and workers stuck in traffic don\u2019t have the luxury of Labor\u2019s no ideas for change,\u201d Mr Tudehope said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
After 2 years in power, the Minns Labor Government still can\u2019t explain how they\u2019ll make housing more affordable, how they\u2019ll fix emergency departments, or how they\u2019ll deliver the next wave of opportunity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This budget is their chance, but it\u2019s also their test.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
NSW can\u2019t afford a government that governs by press conference and always fails to deliver. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
