Mr Cheroux has held senior water industry roles across Australia, Europe and Asia, including as Chief Executive of SA Water.
As Sydney Water moves into its next phase of delivery and strategic planning, the Board of Directors has initiated a change in leadership to support this transition.
The process to appoint a new Managing Director will now commence. In the interim, Sydney Water\u2019s Executive General Manager, Paul Plowman, will be the Acting Chief Executive.
Minister for Water Rose Jackson said:<\/strong>

\u201cHis leadership has helped lay the foundations for the future of water in Greater Sydney.
