{"id":31577,"date":"2025-02-25T23:26:52","date_gmt":"2025-02-25T23:26:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.16news.com.au\/?p=31577"},"modified":"2025-02-25T23:26:52","modified_gmt":"2025-02-25T23:26:52","slug":"330-million-eurobodalla-regional-hospital-begins-to-go-up","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.16news.com.au\/index.php\/2025\/02\/25\/330-million-eurobodalla-regional-hospital-begins-to-go-up\/","title":{"rendered":"$330 million Eurobodalla Regional Hospital begins to go up"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A large mobile crane has arrived on site to support the construction of the new $330 million Eurobodalla Regional Hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The crane\u2019s arrival marks an important step in delivering a sustainable, modern and purpose-built hospital to support the needs of the Eurobodalla Shire community from Narooma to Batemans Bay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With a maximum height of just over 70 metres, the crawler crane can lift up to 110 tonnes and will be used to carry a range of heavy building materials required for construction of the new hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unlike a traditional tower crane, which is fixed in place, a crawler crane moves on tracks, allowing greater flexibility around the building site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The crawler crane will enable efficient access and movement of materials across the large footprint of the new Eurobodalla Regional Hospital site.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Local students are invited to take part in a competition to help name the crane. The winner of the Name the Crane competition will have their winning name displayed on the crane.
