A woman has died following a crash in state\u2019s Hunter region last week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Around 3.30pm on Friday 7 February 2025, emergency services were called to a two-car crash on James Street, Windale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Officers attached to Lake Macquarie Police District attended and found a Hyundai i30 and a Ford Fiesta had crashed, trapping the driver of the Hyundai\u2013 an 82-year-old woman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics and taken to John Hunter Hospital in a serious condition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The driver of the Ford \u2013 a 29-year-old woman was not injured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On Sunday 9 February 2025, police were notified that the woman had died.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Investigations into the crash are continuing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
