{"id":31243,"date":"2025-02-09T17:07:34","date_gmt":"2025-02-09T17:07:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.16news.com.au\/?p=31243"},"modified":"2025-02-09T17:07:34","modified_gmt":"2025-02-09T17:07:34","slug":"new-future-industries-facility-for-newcastle-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.16news.com.au\/index.php\/2025\/02\/09\/new-future-industries-facility-for-newcastle-2\/","title":{"rendered":"NEW FUTURE INDUSTRIES FACILITY FOR NEWCASTLE"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Australian Government is building Australia\u2019s future by delivering infrastructure that creates opportunities in regional communities and improves everyday lives of locals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are providing more than $20.7 million for the Future Industries Facility at the University of Newcastle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project will enable the university to provide a problem-solving centre for community and small businesses at a purpose built innovation facility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It will accommodate up to 16 academic-industry partnerships for rapid technology co-development from research to market across the energy, resources and manufacturing sectors, and the net zero economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Works are set to leverage the Trailblazer for Recycling and Clean Energy (TRACE) initiative by adopting circular economy and clean energy technologies.<br><br>This project showcases the Government\u2019s commitment to listening to and working with local communities and addressing regional needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is funded through the Albanese Government\u2019s regional Precincts and Partnership Program, which is investing $47.9 million to support the transformation of seven precincts across New South Wales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The regional Precincts and Partnerships Program is providing investment to transform regional, rural and remote places.
