A man has died in a house fire in the state\u2019s Hunter region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
About 2:30pm today (Sunday 26 January 2025), emergency services were called to Coolabah Road, Medowie, following reports of a house fire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Officers attached to Port Stephens\/Hunter Police District attended, alongside Fire and Rescue NSW crews and Rural Fire Service, who extinguished the blaze.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A man, age 62, was found deceased at the scene and he is yet to be formally identified.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A crime scene has been established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident has commenced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
