A second person has died following a two-vehicle crash at Muswellbrook yesterday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
About 5.30pm (Saturday 30 November 2024) emergency services were called to Denman Road, Edderton, near Muswellbrook, following reports of a head-on crash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Officers attached to Hunter Valley Police District attended and found two sedans had collided.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A woman \u2013 believed to be aged in her 70s, who was the driver of one of the vehicles \u2013 could not be revived and died at the scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A passenger in a second vehicle \u2013 a man believed to be aged 20s, also died at the scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Three other people \u2013 one male and two females aged in their 20s \u2013 were treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A report will be prepared for the coroner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
