Police are appealing for information after the body of a man was located at a wharf in Newcastle.
\nAbout 8.20am today (Saturday 25 May 2019), the body of an unidentified man was located in the water behind a hotel on Wharf Road.
\nThe man appears to be 30-50 years old, with a beard, thinning hair, and a number of tattoos on his right hand and right shoulder.
\nIt is believed the body had been in the water for a short time. There is nothing at this stage to suggest the man\u2019s death is suspicious.
\nA small amount of property was located on the man, however no identification.
\nInquiries continue to identify the man.
