Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from the Newcastle area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Glen Haines, aged 70, left the Maitland Hospital on Metford Rd, Metford, about 11am yesterday (Sunday 5 May 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When he failed to return and could not be contacted or located, officers attached to Port Stephens-Hunter Police District were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Glen lives with dementia and concerns are held for his welfare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It has since been established; Glen was captured on CCTV walking west along Mitchell Drive at East Maitland at 12.18pm today and a search has been conducted of the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Glen is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 170cm tall, with a medium build, and brown hair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He was last seen wearing a checkered red\/blue shirt, blue denim jeans and brown boots, as depicted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Glenn resides in the Maitland area and is believed to be on foot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
