{"id":26005,"date":"2024-04-05T08:44:01","date_gmt":"2024-04-05T08:44:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.16news.com.au\/?p=26005"},"modified":"2024-04-05T08:44:01","modified_gmt":"2024-04-05T08:44:01","slug":"more-paramedics-and-call-takers-join-nsw-ambulance-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.16news.com.au\/index.php\/2024\/04\/05\/more-paramedics-and-call-takers-join-nsw-ambulance-2\/","title":{"rendered":"More paramedics and call takers join NSW Ambulance"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>NSW Ambulance has welcomed 149 new trainee paramedics and emergency call takers after they were officially inducted into the service at a ceremony today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Minister for Health Ryan Park congratulated the 133 graduate paramedics and 16 trainee emergency medical call takers, who will start in their new roles from tomorrow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis is the second class of NSW Ambulance graduates this year and I\u2019m proud to see them graduate to serve their communities,\u201d Mr Park said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur paramedics are on the frontline of healthcare in NSW, caring for people when they are at their sickest and most vulnerable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI congratulate these paramedics and call takers for reaching this significant milestone in their careers and thank them for their dedication to serving their community.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>NSW Ambulance Chief Executive Dr Dominic Morgan welcomed the new starters, who were honoured at a ceremony at Sydney Olympic Park, attended by family and friends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr Morgan said the new recruits would provide welcome reinforcements during a busy time for emergency health care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI know all who are graduating today have worked incredibly hard throughout their training,\u201d Dr Morgan said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI thank them for their commitment and warmly welcome them into NSW Ambulance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAs demand for our services continues to grow, we remain committed to providing world-class care to our patients,\u201d Dr Morgan said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Member for Parramatta Donna Davis thanked the incoming trainee paramedics and emergency call takers for their commitment to providing the community with care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt takes someone special to join the ambulance service and I\u2019m really pleased so many are graduating today at Sydney Olympic Park,\u201d Ms Davis said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cTheir dedication to care is highly commendable and I wish them well in their career with NSW Ambulance.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The graduate paramedics will be posted across NSW to complete the on-road portion of their 12-month internships before taking permanent positions in metropolitan and regional areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The emergency medical call takers will all be posted to the Triple Zero (000) control centre in Sydney.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NSW Ambulance has welcomed 149 new trainee paramedics and emergency call takers after they were officially inducted into the service at a ceremony today.
