Tomorrow I will welcome China’s Foreign Minister and Director of the Office of the Central Commission for Foreign Affairs, H.E. Mr Wang Yi, to Canberra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I will hold the seventh Australia-China Foreign and Strategic Dialogue with Minister Wang. The Dialogue is a long-standing mechanism to discuss the bilateral relationship and regional and international developments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I look forward to a frank exchange of views on our shared interests, points of difference, and our respective roles in upholding a region that is peaceful, stable and secure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Minister Wang’s travel to Australia follows Prime Minister Albanese’s successful visit to China in November last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Australian Government continues to pursue a stable and constructive relationship with China, which is in the interests of both countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
