Police are appealing for information after a man was hit by a car near Taree last night.
\nEmergency services were called to Wingham Road, Wingham, just after 9pm (Sunday 28 October 2018), following reports a man had been struck by a Landcruiser.
\nThe 30-year-old man was treated at the scene by paramedics before being airlifted to John Hunter Hospital in a critical condition.
\nThe driver of the Landcruiser, a 74-year-old woman, drove a short distance before contacting Triple Zero (000).
\nOfficers from the Crash Investigation Unit attended the scene and are continuing to follow a number of lines of inquiry.
\nAny witnesses, or anyone with dashcam footage or other information that may assist the investigation, is urged to come forward.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
