{"id":2477,"date":"2019-04-25T02:50:32","date_gmt":"2019-04-25T02:50:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.16news.com.au\/?p=2477"},"modified":"2019-04-25T02:50:32","modified_gmt":"2019-04-25T02:50:32","slug":"more-money-in-the-pockets-of-parents","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.16news.com.au\/index.php\/2019\/04\/25\/more-money-in-the-pockets-of-parents\/","title":{"rendered":"More Money in the Pockets of Parents"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Coalition\u2019s Child Care Subsidy is leaving more money in the pockets of parents.<br \/>\nOut-of-pocket child care costs have reduced by 8.9 per cent since the Coalition introduced the Child Care Subsidy on 2 July 2018, according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics\u2019 consumer price index (CPI) released today.<br \/>\nMinister for Education Dan Tehan said the Coalition provided around $8 billion for the Child Care Subsidy in this year\u2019s Budget to support parents with the cost of child care while they\u2019re working, training, studying or volunteering.<br \/>\n\u201cNearly one million families are benefitting from the Coalition\u2019s child care reforms,\u201d Mr Tehan said.<br \/>\n\u201cWe have removed the annual rebate cap for most families, increased the subsidies for low and middle income families and provided a generous safety net to support children and families who need extra help.<br \/>\n\u201cWe can afford to provide a generous child care subsidy that means families are keeping more of their money in their pockets because we can manage the economy.<br \/>\n\u201cLabor can\u2019t be trusted to run the economy and if they can\u2019t run the economy they can\u2019t guarantee they\u2019ll pay for the child care subsidy that is supporting hard-working families.<br \/>\n\u201cThat\u2019s why Labor is the Bill Australia can\u2019t afford.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Coalition\u2019s Child Care Subsidy is leaving more money in the pockets of parents.
