With 178 ratifications, the Treaty is an essential part of the global nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation regime, with the goal of ending nuclear weapons tests permanently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Achieving universal membership of the Treaty is fundamental to this goal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Australia urges all countries which have not yet done so to sign and ratify the Treaty without delay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
