{"id":20498,"date":"2023-03-05T04:48:10","date_gmt":"2023-03-05T04:48:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.16news.com.au\/?p=20498"},"modified":"2023-03-05T04:48:10","modified_gmt":"2023-03-05T04:48:10","slug":"crackingthecode-this-nsw-womens-week","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.16news.com.au\/index.php\/2023\/03\/05\/crackingthecode-this-nsw-womens-week\/","title":{"rendered":"#CRACKINGTHECODE this NSW Women&#8217;s Week"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Raising awareness about menopause, more opportunities for regional and rural women, and promoting careers for young women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) are among the issues being tackled this NSW Women\u2019s Week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Minister for Women Bronnie Taylor said this year\u2019s theme is #CrackingTheCode, with the focus on promoting gender equality and celebrating the social, cultural and political achievements of women.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe 2023 NSW Women\u2019s Week is an important celebration of women from every corner of NSW. So many incredible women and girls call NSW home, and this week we are putting their achievements in the spotlight,\u201d Mrs Taylor said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cDriving forward gender equality is pivotal for the future of NSW and we are leading the country with the delivery of the biggest blueprint in the state\u2019s history to level the playing field for women, investing $16.5 billion over 10 years to empower women\u2019s economic opportunities and child development.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 2023 NSW Women\u2019s Week is set to be the biggest ever, with events including a Menopause Mixer, One to Watch Awards, Engineering Your Future Summit, and a networking event for women from regional and rural NSW.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mrs Taylor said women from all ages and walks of life will be celebrated in the schedule of events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe NSW Liberals and Nationals are committed to supporting women through every lifestage \u2013 from the introduction of a universal pre-Kindergarten year, free menstrual hygiene products in every NSW public school, making it easier and more affordable to have IVF, helping women enter and re-enter the workforce, supporting small business owners and entrepreneurs, to raising awareness about menopause \u2013 we are here with you,\u201d Mrs Taylor said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe know that women thrive, everyone thrives.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>NSW Women\u2019s Week runs from Monday, 6 March to Sunday, 12 March.
