Two men have been injured during a home invasion at Lake Macquarie at the weekend.
\nPolice have been told two men, dressed in black and armed with a baseball bat and crowbar, forced their way into a home on Harrison Street, Cardiff, about 11pm yesterday (Sunday 17 March 2019).
\nThey assaulted two men, aged 41 and 46, before fleeing in a vehicle.
\nOfficers from the Lake Macquarie Police District and NSW Ambulance paramedics arrived a short time later and established a crime scene.
\nThe men were taken to John Hunter Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
