Today I met with China\u2019s State Councilor and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Wang Yi, at the conclusion of the G20 Foreign Ministers\u2019 Meeting in Bali.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I welcome our discussion on issues of concern between our two countries – as well as the prosperity, security and stability of the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We spoke frankly and listened carefully to each other\u2019s priorities and concerns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I raised Australia\u2019s concerns about a range of bilateral, regional, trade and consular issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Australia and China have gained much through the strength of our economic and people-to-people ties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We have our differences, but it is in both our countries\u2019 interests for the relationship to be stabilised.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
