{"id":15162,"date":"2022-02-28T20:38:56","date_gmt":"2022-02-28T20:38:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.16news.com.au\/?p=15162"},"modified":"2022-02-28T20:38:56","modified_gmt":"2022-02-28T20:38:56","slug":"linger-longer-at-special-events-in-2022","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.16news.com.au\/index.php\/2022\/02\/28\/linger-longer-at-special-events-in-2022\/","title":{"rendered":"Linger Longer at special events in 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The NSW Government has extended trading hours for hotels and registered clubs during special sporting and cultural events in 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The extension allows some venues to trade longer hours so patrons can celebrate events such as Vivid Sydney, the Tamworth Country Music Festival, the Parkes Elvis Festival and the NRL Grand Final.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Minister for Hospitality and Racing, Kevin Anderson, said the move would give patrons extra time to socialise and enjoy major entertainment events while opening more trading opportunities for businesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe understand that it has been tough for hospitality venues recently which is why we are extending trading hours for certain events.
