{"id":15087,"date":"2022-02-24T10:34:59","date_gmt":"2022-02-24T10:34:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.16news.com.au\/?p=15087"},"modified":"2022-02-24T10:34:59","modified_gmt":"2022-02-24T10:34:59","slug":"national-border-reopening","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.16news.com.au\/index.php\/2022\/02\/24\/national-border-reopening\/","title":{"rendered":"National border reopening"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The NSW Government has welcomed the first wave of international visitors following today\u2019s reopening of national borders.<br>\u00a0<br>Around 5000 passengers across 27 flights will pass through Sydney International Airport today, arriving from USA, Japan, Singapore, Canada, New Zealand and Fiji.<br>\u00a0<br>Amid celebrations at Sydney International Airport, where arrivals were greeted with music and imagery from the Destination NSW\u00a0<em>Feel New<\/em>\u00a0tourism campaign, NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet said the return of overseas visitors would boost tourism, investment and trade.<br>\u00a0<br>\u201cMillions of people around the world dream of visiting Sydney and our regional areas, it\u2019s great to see the planes return and their dreams coming true,\u201d Mr Perrottet said.<br>\u00a0<br>\u201cWe are investing more than $530 million into the sector as part of our tourism and events recovery package.
