A woman has died after being hit by a car at Port Stephens today.
\nJust before 9.45am (Thursday 7 February 2019), emergency services were called to Guyang Street, Corlette, after reports a woman had been struck by a Hyundai whilst in the driveway of a home.
\nNeighbours rendered assistance before the arrival of emergency services.
\nDespite attempts to resuscitate the woman, she died at the scene.
\nThe male driver was uninjured and is speaking with police.
\nOfficers from Port Stephens-Hunter Police District established a crime scene as they investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
\nA report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
