A child has died after being found unresponsive in Lake Macquarie yesterday.
\nAbout 6.30pm (Saturday 25 December 2021), emergency services were called to Fishing Point Road, Rathmines, after a three-year-old boy had been pulled from the water unconscious.
\nBystanders rendered first aid until NSW Ambulance paramedics arrived but the child could not be revived and died at the scene.
\nOfficers attached to Lake Macquarie Police District attended and have commenced inquiries.
\nA report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
