Premier Dominic\u00a0Perrottet and Deputy Premier Paul\u00a0Toole\u00a0have announced\u00a0a\u00a0new Cabinet\u00a0team\u00a0to\u00a0focus on delivering\u00a0the NSW Government\u2019s vision for the state.
\nIt\u00a0combines a wealth of experience\u00a0with fresh energy\u00a0at a critical time,\u00a0leading\u00a0NSW out of the pandemic and\u00a0toward\u00a0a stronger future.
\n\u201cOur new Ministry\u00a0harnesses experience, while allowing for renewal and injecting fresh energy into the team,\u201d\u00a0Mr Perrottet\u00a0said.
\n\u201cIt\u2019s a team\u00a0with\u00a0purpose, carefully shaped to deliver on our vision. My expectation is that every Minister will work hard\u00a0to improve the lives of people across\u00a0our state at a critical time in the history of our state.\u201d
\nThere are nine first-time Ministers\u00a0in the\u00a0new-look\u00a0Cabinet\u00a0which includes the three new portfolios of Minister for Cities, Minister for Homes and Minister for Science, Innovation and Technology.
\n\u201cFour\u00a0of our new Ministers are women\u00a0and\u00a0we hope they will help inspire our next generation of leaders,\u201d Mr\u00a0Perrottet\u00a0said.
\n\u201cWe\u2019ve spelt out our vision and\u00a0the new portfolios\u00a0demonstrate our commitment to deliver\u00a0more opportunity for\u00a0home ownership, our\u00a0Six Cities strategy, and\u00a0great jobs through cutting edge research, innovation and local manufacturing.\u201d
\nThe Government\u2019s priority remains\u00a0reopening and\u00a0kick starting\u00a0the economy\u00a0in a safe and measured way\u00a0while delivering its record infrastructure program.
\nDeputy Premier Paul Toole said the past three years have been some of the most challenging in our State\u2019s history, with the team\u2019s focus now\u00a0on\u00a0recovery and strengthening our resilience.
\n\u201cWe\u2019ve gone through the darkest of days, but we are focused on building stronger regional communities \u2013 stronger for their services, their jobs and the opportunities we\u2019re unlocking for this generation and the next,\u201d Mr Toole said.
\n\u201cRegional health has been a big focus of our Government since day one \u2013 and as a registered nurse from the bush, Bronnie Taylor will ensure regional communities get the investment in hospitals and health services and the quality of care they deserve.
