{"id":13108,"date":"2021-09-24T20:11:25","date_gmt":"2021-09-24T20:11:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.16news.com.au\/?p=13108"},"modified":"2021-09-24T20:11:25","modified_gmt":"2021-09-24T20:11:25","slug":"beers-and-bubbles-permitted-at-park-picnics","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.16news.com.au\/index.php\/2021\/09\/24\/beers-and-bubbles-permitted-at-park-picnics\/","title":{"rendered":"Beers and bubbles permitted at park picnics"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Beers and bubbles will be permitted at some of Sydney\u2019s favourite public spaces as a temporary measure to reward and thank vaccinated picnickers.<br \/>\nRules restricting alcohol at sites managed by Placemaking NSW will be temporarily put on hold, while visitors to Centennial Parklands, Parramatta Park, Royal Botanic Gardens and Western Sydney Parklands can continue to drink responsibly.<br \/>\nMinister for Planning and Public Spaces Rob Stokes said the measures were taken to say thank you to vaccinated Sydneysiders.<br \/>\n\u201cVaccinated Sydneysiders have embraced the easing of restrictions and are out picnicking in record numbers across our parks and public spaces,\u201d Mr Stokes said.<br \/>\n\u201cAfter an incredibly tough winter, people who have followed COVID rules and received both jabs deserve to enjoy a beer or wine responsibly.<br \/>\n\u201cOur rangers told us that picnickers have been following the health advice and safely distancing.
