An investigation is underway after a body was found following a unit fire at Newcastle this morning.
\nJust after 5am (Monday 26 July 2021), emergency services were called to Fullerton Street, Stockton, following reports of a unit fire.
\nThe fire was extinguished by crews from Fire and Rescue NSW.
\nFollowing a search of the building, a body was located, which is yet to be formally identified.
\nThere are no other reports of injuries.
