{"id":12074,"date":"2021-07-09T04:10:51","date_gmt":"2021-07-09T04:10:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.16news.com.au\/?p=12074"},"modified":"2021-07-09T04:10:51","modified_gmt":"2021-07-09T04:10:51","slug":"covid-19-update-restrictions-9-july-2021","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.16news.com.au\/index.php\/2021\/07\/09\/covid-19-update-restrictions-9-july-2021\/","title":{"rendered":"COVID-19 Update: Restrictions &#8211; 9 July 2021"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Given the growing number of infectious cases in the community and unlinked cases of community transmission, COVID-19 restrictions will be tightened across Greater Sydney including the Central Coast, Blue Mountains, Wollongong and Shellharbour.<br \/>\nFrom 5pm today (Friday, 9 July) the following additional restrictions will be in place:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Outdoor public gatherings limited to two people (excluding members of the same household);<\/li>\n<li>People must stay in their Local Government Area or within 10kms of home for exercise and outdoor recreation, with no carpooling between non-household members;<\/li>\n<li>Browsing in shops is prohibited, plus only one person per household, per day may leave the home for shopping;<\/li>\n<li>Funerals limited to ten people in total (this will take effect from Sunday, 11 July).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The four reasons to leave your home remain in place:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Shopping for food or other essential goods and services (one person only);<\/li>\n<li>Medical care or compassionate needs (only one visitor can enter another residence to fulfil carers\u2019 responsibilities or provide care or assistance, or for compassionate reasons);<\/li>\n<li>Exercise with no more than 2 (unless members of the same household);<\/li>\n<li>Essential work, or education, where you cannot work or study from home.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Restrictions in regional NSW will remain unchanged.<br \/>\nThese tightened restrictions are based on health advice from the Chief Health Officer Dr Kerry Chant.<br \/>\nThey are necessary due to the increasing number of unlinked cases in the community.<br \/>\nWe understand this is a difficult time for the community and businesses.
