{"id":10379,"date":"2021-02-22T14:15:12","date_gmt":"2021-02-22T14:15:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.16news.com.au\/?p=10379"},"modified":"2021-02-22T14:15:12","modified_gmt":"2021-02-22T14:15:12","slug":"dine-discover-pilot-commences-in-northern-beaches-sydney-cbd-and-bega-valley","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.16news.com.au\/index.php\/2021\/02\/22\/dine-discover-pilot-commences-in-northern-beaches-sydney-cbd-and-bega-valley\/","title":{"rendered":"DINE &amp; DISCOVER PILOT COMMENCES IN NORTHERN BEACHES, SYDNEY CBD AND BEGA VALLEY"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>More businesses and customers will benefit from the State Government\u2019s Dine &amp; Discover NSW program, with the second phase of the pilot commencing in the Northern Beaches, Sydney CBD and Bega Valley from today.<br \/>\nThe expanded pilot follows successful and continual testing of the technology in The Rocks and Broken Hill.<br \/>\nMinister for Customer Service Victor Dominello said the stimulus will bring much needed relief to businesses hit hard by COVID-19 and last year\u2019s bushfires.<br \/>\n\u201cThese communities have been brought to their knees due to the pandemic and bushfires, and the vouchers will deliver a boost for businesses and encourage customers to get out and about safely,\u201d Mr Dominello said.<br \/>\n\u201cIt\u2019s not too late for eligible businesses to register. It can be done online and could bring more customers through the door. Customers should also download the Service NSW app now and reap the rewards.\u201d<br \/>\nMinister for Finance and Small Business Damien Tudehope said the findings from the pilots will inform the state wide rollout, which will be progressively rolled out from March.<br \/>\n\u201cAbout 700 businesses in Bega Valley, the Northern Beaches and Sydney CBD will take part in the second phase of Dine &amp; Discover NSW, and more than 125,000 NSW residents have been invited to participate,\u201d Mr Tudehope said.<br \/>\n\u201cThis stimulus is exactly what businesses need with summer ending soon. It will also put extra money in the pockets of households.\u201d<br \/>\nEvery NSW resident aged 18 and over will soon be eligible for four $25 vouchers worth $100 in total, to spend in participating businesses.<br \/>\nDine &amp; Discover NSW vouchers\u00a0will be divided into two categories:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Two $25 vouchers\u00a0to\u00a0be used\u00a0for\u00a0eating in\u00a0at\u00a0restaurants, cafes, bars, pubs\u00a0and\u00a0clubs\u00a0from\u00a0Monday to Thursday, excluding public holidays.<\/li>\n<li>Two $25 vouchers\u00a0to\u00a0be used for\u00a0entertainment and recreation, including\u00a0cultural institutions, live music,\u00a0and\u00a0arts venues,\u00a0available 7 days a week, excluding public holidays.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The vouchers can only be used at eligible businesses that have implemented a COVID Safety Plan and are registered as COVID Safe.<br \/>\nFor more information on Dine &amp; Discover NSW, visit\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nsw.gov.au\/\">www.nsw.gov.au<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>More businesses and customers will benefit from the State Government\u2019s Dine &amp; Discover NSW program, with the second phase of the pilot commencing in the Northern Beaches, Sydney CBD and Bega Valley from today.
